Join Historic St. George’s Museum & Archives and the Christ Church Preservation Trust for an information demonstration, dedicated to the care and keeping of our city's history.

In this special event, an expert will pull back the curtain on the delicate process of gravestone conservation.

    What to Expect:

    • Maintenance Tips: Learn the “hows” and “whys” of proper grave maintenance, from stone identification to understanding the environmental factors that impact them.

    • Self-Guided Exploration: While you are on-site, take a self-guided tour of Christ Church Burial Ground, the final resting place of Benjamin Franklin and several other signers of the Declaration of Independence.

    • Hands-On Opportunity: Roll up your sleeves and take an opportunity to clean a part of a grave under the guidance of our team.
