SUMMER INTERNSHIP:
Museum intern
326 New St, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
Company Overview:
Historic St. George’s Museum and Archives exists in the oldest Methodist church building in America, bought in 1769. We house thousands of objects, photographs, documents and ephemera related to the development of Methodism in America. We are dedicated to maintaining, preserving, and sharing our rich history.
Summary:
Historic St. George’s Museum and Archives intern will be responsible for assisting with the upkeep of museum exhibits, giving tours, cataloging our vast collection, research and more. This position will help students gain real world experience undergoing a mass remodel of exhibits.
Responsibilities:
Assist with gearing up for 2026 celebrations across the city and with our museum grand opening.
Help catalog and digitize our collection.
Assist with facilitating our museum drop in crafts, partnership days, and other public programs that may be held.
Give tours and assist guests.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
On-Site role of 25-30 hours per week.
Stipend of $4,000
Ideal candidates must be enrolled or recently graduated from a college or university with a degree in history, museum studies, education, or a related field.
