SPRING INTERNSHIP:
Museum intern

Company Overview:
Historic St. George’s Museum and Archives exists in the oldest Methodist church building in America, bought in 1769. We house thousands of objects, photographs, documents and ephemera related to the development of Methodism in America. We are dedicated to maintaining, preserving, and sharing our rich history.
Summary:
Historic St. George’s Museum and Archives intern will be responsible for assisting with the development of the museum exhibits, creating dynamic interactive displays, cataloging our vast collection and more. This position will help students gain real world experience undergoing a mass remodel of exhibits.
Responsibilities:
Assist with gearing up for 2026 celebrations across the city and with our museum grand opening celebrations.
Create new interactive displays and hands-on activities relating to exhibits.
Help catalog and digitize our collection.
Assist with facilitating our museum drop in crafts, partnership days, and other public programs that may be held.
Give tours and assist guests.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
On-Site role of 25-30 hours per week.
Approximate start is February 3, 2026. Approximate end is May 1, 2026.
Stipend of $4,000
Ideal candidates must be enrolled or recently graduated from a college or university with a degree in history, museum studies, education, or a related field.
